Penybont Tour of Mallorca 2023

Updated: Oct 24, 2023

On the 12th of October we embarked on a plane and headed for the sun and scenery in Mallorca for 4 nights/5 days for our club holiday of 2023.

Everyone enjoyed the trip and have all begged that we run a trip every year from here on in.

Below are some of the pictures that we took on our trip.

There are hundreds of photos so we have selected just a few.

We also presented our club cycling jersey to Palms bar in Pollenca. It is now hanging on their wall along with hundreds of other jerseys. We will sign the jersey again next time we visit in 2024.

Below are some of the quotes of the members who attended the trip.

"What a weekend!!! It had it all. We had chilled out cycling in the sun to challenging climbs with fantastic scenery. Amazing pitstop's when we all recalled our stories of the day. We swam in the sea and some enjoyed swimming in the 35m pool in the hotel. We enjoyed the rugby and the drinks in the bar around the corner surrounded by the many jerseys on the walls of the cyclists who had been there before us. We have our signed PYBTC jersey adorning the wall to join all those other triathletes passing through. So many wonderful memories with the loveliest of friends were made. Can't wait for the next one!!!"......... Andrea Starritt.

"Great cycling, great company, great club! Whens the next Holiday?"....... Sian James

"Excellent riding and a great club trip. On the way home i was already searching for flights for the next visit!!".........Neil Palmer.

"I absolutely loved it!! Not the strongest rider or swimmer but was looked after by the other club members. Didn't think i would make Sa Calobra but i did it! Quote upon leaving "Neil, how did you sleep?" I struggled, i was reflecting and was buzzing. Neil thought i was taking the mick but i wasn't. That was pukka gen buzz. Cant wait for the next trip.........Daz Vaughan

"From cycling to the traditional square of old Pollenca, the incredible Formentor peninsula lighthouse, to conquering Sa Collabra. All in the super company of PYBTC members.....Wow!!!! I want to go again......Kristian James.

"A fabulous time was had by all. A well organised trip staying in a prime location in a top resort in Port de Pollensa. Beautiful scenic routes were organised for our cycling days out, which catered for all abilities with plenty of rest stops. Overall it was a fantastic experience, cycling breathtaking routes in the sunshine with great like minded people........Christopher Dunn.
